Durable Power of Attorney

A Durable Power of Attorney allows you, the Principal, to designate another person, the Agent (in many cases, your spouse), to make certain financial and business decisions for you. These decisions may involve your real property, bank accounts, credit cards, partnership interests, and other financial and business areas. A Durable Power of Attorney typically remains in effect or becomes effective when you become incapacitated, allowing the designated person to manage your financial affairs.
